Default 1978 SA with Pace Car spoilers - Pics??

Hey, anyone have any pictures of a silver anniversary with the pace car spoilers.

I seen this one small pic and I think it looks awesome. Anyone have anymore pics like this? But larger and more angles.

When I paint my white SA back to SA colours, I'm debating spoilers and deleting the L82 badge like this guy. Looks good.

Thanks.

Pardon my ignorance, but what are the spears?

How big of a hurry you in??? I have one of these but it's buried behind bulk storage bins.. Are you just wanting pics of the spoilers front and rear?

This car belonged to a friend of mine 30+ years ago. He bought the car new, and installed the spoilers in the summer of 78, right after the Pace Cars came out. I think I may have some other pictures of the car somewhere around here.

Look again. They're on it.

Domobomb: The "spears" are the hood graphics. They were part of the SA paint package.

I like it. Have considered adding that to my 78 SA when I do the body.

Yeah, I am not in a hurry. Any pictures would do fine really. The more the better. I really like the one gbvette62 posted.

Just some pictures that are large enough to tell if there are spears on the hood or not!

Thanks guys. The more pictures I see, the more I'm liking it.

That's where I found the first Image I posted.

I found a couple more images after digging a few pages in.

Thanks.

Which brings me to my follow-up question.

Who makes the best fitting, reasonably priced spoilers, and where do I get them?

Are you putting a Honda spoiler on your corvette.....hehe
Isn't that a contradiction in terms....concerning corvette parts?
That's like finding "reasonably" priced Harley parts......

Dang it. I had buried this idea far back in my mind, now its back up on the front burner, especially since all the mechanical mods are done for now.

First mod I ever made to my genuine, one-owner SAE/B2Z was to add the PC aero package, so my having become so accustomed to the look rubber-bumper C3's appear somewhat incomplete without them to my jaundiced eye. FWIW, the front dam could use some additional bracing if you intend on doing any real speed.

BTW, if you need any pointers on getting the B2Z paint and trim down right, don't hesitate to ask around here. Many a would be example isn't completely correct (if that's important to you), but there are a few of us original owners here who either have one that still is or can guide you from memory of the real deal instead of just going by something they've read.

Sorry, but what exactly are you talking about here? An example of what would not be completely correct?

And I was hoping you would post. I remember seeing your avatar which made me look in to this in the first place. I just did not remember the name!

I also agree about the cars not looking right without a spoiler. I have a 2nd gen Camaro, and Firebird and it's the same with those. The spoiler completes the car.

That looks great. Seems a bit expensive though. Must be flawless for 17k!

I guess I meant I did not want to spend more than I needed. I am 21 and in college, so money IS a factor for me.

Just pointing out that if you're otherwise going for authenticity on the B2Z paint scheme, the devil is in the details. With all the mods I've made to my once genuine SAE I'm sure my shark makes many a purist cringe, but then I'm not making any correctness claims. Sorry I don't have any better pics worth posting, but it hasn't been on the ground for a while now. Recently sold the louvers, btw...

Front air dam damage isn't from bumping into parking stops.

Well, yes I would like to get the correct colours and striping when I do paint the car. It is a genuine SA car, so I'd like the authentic paint job.
What sort of tips did you have? I was just going to pay someone to paint it.

Maybe when I am old and cranky I'll worry about the stock, for now I'm just worrying about the awesome. I do love your car.
