I was at the Richard Petty Spring Fling on Saturday in Randleman NC. The event was at Richard's Garage. This is the second year for this event. They have corrals for Mopar, GM and Ford. The majority of the cars were Mopar but there were some handsome GM and Ford cars too.

Are they restoring or building new Daytonas & Superbirds??
Was the nose on the Daytona made of steel like the Superbirds noes sitting next to it?

They are restoring them. The two that are pictured were clean and rust free. They were doing some nose work on one but it looked fine otherwise. I am not sure if it was steel or not. I think it was.

Very cool pics! Never been to Richards shop but have met him, we race the NASCAR trucks and he is sometimes at the track, always very nice.
