Default Just installed LED Dash Kit from Atlanta Speedometer

I just installed the kit in my 72 dash. Anyone considering an upgrade to their dash lighting should take a look at the package Josh at Atlanta Speedometer has developed. All hardware is included for a very simple install and the results are fantastic. It's amazing that my original 75 guages look like modern instruments! The key is that the LED ring shines from the edges directly on the gauge face. You get great illumination of the numbers and the needles seems to "float". Change colors and dim from the remote.

I'll take some pics tonight. I don't have the dash in the car yet. In the mean time check out the link I added to the original post.

Wow. That's hot. Pretty high on the upgrade list, me thinks.

I have a non-functional clock, a non-functional speedo, several wiring connections that need to be 'corrected', and a deep desire to replace the stereo, requiring an updated gauge bezel with DIN hole.

Sounds like the perfect time to update me some lights!!!

Yep, found my next addition. Much cheaper route than switching over to Autometer.

I'm in the same situation. Dash is currently on my work bench.

I was looking at replacing the bulbs with leds but this looks like a much better solution.

Order placed!

Here are some pics. I can't wait to get this car done!!!
mn_leaf_fan I tried all LEDs from Super Brite but was disappointed with the results. I AM going to use the Super Brite bulbs for my turn signal and high beam indicators. I also will try them for the 2 under dash courtesy lights.

I sent an email to the address listed on the contact page of their web site and it bounced. If anyone gets info on a kit for a 79, please post.

Will they come on automatically when you turn on the lights - or do you have to turn them on and off with the remote only ??

All,
Here's the contact info for the dash kits. Good Luck!
Mike

MrJlr It connects to your existing lighting and operates as normal with the dash switch. The remote is used to change colors and/or brightness. Once set to your preferrence, you do not have use the remote.
