So, to answer your questions:
- Yes, i was in the german air force, 9 years ago.
- Im not a professionell photographer. But it was my hobby before i started the vette-hobby. I wasn´t too bad, my pictures are printed in countless calendards, advertisement and so on...
I still earn a littel money with my pictures or the workshops i do.
But its not my job.
The pictures here are taken with an Canon 1Ds II (yes, this cam is 8 years old!) a 14mm 2,8L, 35mm 1,4L and the old 70-200 2,8L IS lenses.
But you can believe me, for those littel internet pics you could have similar results with nearly any other SLR camera with good lenses.
- The engine was runing well at this altitudes. I had further experiences and hat the right jets in the carb. But to be safe i had couples of other jets with me to change them if necessarry.

I'm thinking that's a one way, single lane road? If not, what do you do when oncoming traffic from the opposite direction approaches? Yikes! Beautiful looking drive!

You just took me on a trip that I could never imagine...it's not the destination, it's the journey and you certainly had a spectacular one...thanks for sharing!!

Most times i had luck, but you have to be carfully in the hard turns where you cant see if there is coming somthing down the hill.
Most fun are the 1-lane tunnels...i found out that you have to use the horn when you drive in it:

Can you imagine that big Trucks drive on that road too?
I wonder whats happen if they meet in such an tunnel

Beautiful car, scenery and photography. It must have been a heavenly experience. I envy you.
As far as your clutch problem, the torsion spring is inside a Borg & Beck style pressure plate. I would recommend a diaphragm style replacement of the correct diameter...you would also need the matching throw out bearing. Your dilemma is a LS5 never came in a '69 Vette. No problem replacing just your pressure plate as long as you know whether it is 10.4" or 11" but if you decide to also replace the friction disc, you must know how many splines are on the transmission input shaft...early ones had 10 splines; later ones had 26 splines. So, the two things you must know before you commit to ordering is the diameter and # of splines.
1966-70 M20 & M21 10 Spline Input
1971-74 M20 & M21 26 Spline Input
I have had good luck with McLeod Racing brand clutch/disc/flywheel. That brand can be had from Summit Racing; I bought mine from Jegs.com., a competitor. I never dealt with Rockauto but would suspect a more generic product line of OEM replacement parts.
PS. Watching your videos made me feel at home in my '69 with it's M21 and saddle interior. But all those switchbacks are not my cup of tea. I like wide open spaces for my smallblock to stretch its legs.
