Default TI number question on a 1970 LT 1

Does anyone know if the TI for a 1970 LT1 has a date code number. I know its the one with the pigtail.
Thanks in Advance

Yes it does. There is a metal band around the distributor with tiger dist number 1111491 for a 70LT-1 the words DELCO REMY and then a date code first fidget is the year second is a letter for the month and then one or two didgets for the day. It should be less than 6 months from the car build date.

These tags are available from several suppliers so having the tag isn't 100% that it is an original. Distributors made up until mid 70 would not have a hole opposite the teach drive with later ones including replacements do have the hole.

Hi Nelson,
spf is right about the bands being available.
I believe the reproduction band has slightly different font, or slightly different sized font, than the originals. Some judges can spot the difference, so originals are still nice to have.
Regards,
Alan

yes the NCRS judging manual for the year of your car. plus the AIM for your car. between the two you should have every thing you should need
