Saying hello and thank you
Hello,
Wanted to thank this forum for the help I received via a google search. My corvette is a 20 year old restoration/modification, and never performed up to it's potential. The car was recently given to me by my father, and I decided to get to the bottom of it. The culprit turned out to be the reverse flow baffles in the sidepipes and by searching I found several helpful threads here that led me to purchase STS baffles. Thank you! The car finally runs as it should and now pulls clean to 6500 and is having a hard time keeping the rear tires under it in first. I would not be the least bit surprised to find I picked up well over 100 horsepower at the wheels.
I thought I would throw some pictures up and if anybody is interested I can throw up a build list. It was an eight year frame off build that started in 1984 with a hardtop and finished in 1992 as a roadster. My father has enjoyed the car for the last 20 years but hasn't driven it much in the past five, so he passed it along for me to enjoy. It has racked up a total of 7200 miles in that time.
Anyway, thanks again to this forum and here are some pics.

Hi o73,
An interesting story, and an interesting looking car!
I think 'roadsters' had folding tops and clip in windows.... so just what is a car with roll-up windows, (does it still have windows?), and NO top????
Maybe YOU get to come up with a word to describe this combination!!!!
Have Fun!
Regards,
Alan

Well, it has no top. It has no side windows. It has no interior door handles. It has no heat. It has no radio. It does have a big cam. Therefore I consider it fully loaded, but I am not sure what you would call it.

THANK YOU for being resourceful enough and intelligent enough to use the SEARCH function.
You'd be surprised how many folks that surf in here do not fall into that category.
