Hey guys, thought you might like this.
My dad owns a body shop in Arlington, TX, and we decided to do a little restore project. This took us 3 years to get all the parts, put it together, and paint it. We finished a few years ago, and I have this baby in storage. We dropped in a ZZ4 and added headers. Even though I LOVE my C6 Z06, this one has a special meaning to me. I'm only 23, but one day I'll pass this on to MY son. When I have one.

Pull it out, register it and drive the thing already! Seems a shame all that work is slowly deteriorating in some storage unit somewhere. It will be happier, and stay nicer (mechanically) longer if you use it regularly.

That thing is beautiful! Great job. Remember the time you spent with your father working on the car. Someday you will want that time back! And BTW - they were meant to be driven!

I hear you guys. But I'd feel wrong taking this thing out on the street. After all the blood, sweat, and tears my father and I put into it, I'm very **** about it.

This is the car that got me into muscle. We started the project when I was 16, and it's why I bought my first car. A 2000 Trans Am WS6. I modded the heck out of that car and made it a drag strip demon.
You guys are starting to convince me to drive this thing.

Get a professional photographer to take lots of photos from all angles of the car. Make up a great montage mural of all the photos so that you can reminisce all you want.
Then DRIVE THE DANG CAR!!!

One more thing - before you drive it have it appraised and be sure to have AGREED UPON VALUE insurance for the car. A lot of horror stories out there about stated value policies and owners getting pennies on the dollar for their blood sweat and tears. OK now I sound like an insurance agent. Time to get a life. Time to take a drive!

Drive it bud!!!!
My father and I are restoring a 69 coupe right now. After it is complete, the plan is for the two of us to take it on a Hot Rod Power Tour. Get in it and drive the wheels off it. After you wear it out, turn it into another generation father and son/daughter project.

I can see being nervous about driving a rare, original numbers matching blaah blaah blaah car, but you have modded that thing to make it a fun driver. It would be a shame not to drive it.
As was mentioned, it would be better for the car if you took it out now and then. So get proper insurance on it and take it out with your dad.
BTW, you are a lot smarter then I was at that age.
