Sunray DX L-88 Corvettes
Can anyone tell me IF the Sunray DX 68 Corvette #4, driven in this picture by Tony Delorenzo and Jerry Thompson, became the Owens Corning race car?
Also, was the #3 sister car in the background driven by Don Yenko at the time?
The #3 car in this picture is the original restored version, restored to the "Don Yenko driven" period.
And this pic of the #8 67 Sunray DX L-88 was taken at Sebring (I think), and the car was driven by Yenko and Dave Morgan.
I believe that at one time, the Sunray DX team consisted of 3 cars.................a 67 L-88 and two 68 L-88's. I'm just trying to sort out a timeline of who drove which cars and when.
Any and all input appreciated.......................especi ally from anyone was there in the day....................
Thanks,
Rex
