Have you ever been to the NNL show in NJ? It's the biggest model car show in the USA. I vend at that show every year. I've been building models for clients for many years, mostly sports cars, Ferrari's, Cobras, LeMans race cars, etc. if you haven't gone its a great show to see what people build. Lots of talent there.

Your paint work looks really nice. Good work.
Thanks!
Yeah, I`ve been meaning to get to NNL, and I am always having people ask me about going, but something always comes up. I`ll have to just put everything on hold and go some year.

Everything is painted on from memory. I believe I used automotice lacquer throughout.
Feel free to ask any questions.

The `65 looks spectacular!
It's made out of wood and bondo with home made aluminum wheels supported by skateboard bearings, kinda off topic, but here's a short video

Very nice job on that Vette. The paint looks great and you did a good job on the interior - nice paint sheen without looking too flat etc.

Models are a fantastic way to have some quiet time and have a hobby that doesn't break the bank.

Boy, that looks great! I have both of those kits (and a 2nd started '78 that is missing a few parts). Outstanding paint work on this and a super clean build. I hope to eventually get one of the '85 C4 kits as I built it in 7th grade for the science fair we had at school.

Nice roadster conversion, Lowbuck72!

Later,

Lee

P.S. Here is my '65 as she stands. I need a set of tires as these are 'flat'.

About 1/2 done. This was a started kit my mom found for me at a garage sale. I broke it all apart and have been putting it back together.

Here's the '78 kit that I rescued. I have another still sealed.

Cool! I used to have a 1/8 scale Jaguar XKE until my (now EX) wife threw it away. :

That `65 really looks nice!
How long do you think until the `78 is finished?

Hey thanks for the kuods! The '65 has been a long build because I have had to strip some paint and clean up where the glue was a bit think on some parts (mainly the engine). The color is a Raspberry Metallic Red.

The '78 was found on Craigslist about two years ago. Got it for $10 which was a steal even with the few busted parts and stuff. I have it now on my workbench and I am unsure what color I want to go with. I've even thought about making it a 'barn find' since some of the parts are usable but not mint. And I cannot recall the last time I saw someone do a barn find build in 1/8 scale.

Later,

Lee

Bumping this one last time. Will probably keep these if they don`t sell as I have little time now.
