Default Breather Lid

Machines sitting idle (no new jobs until driving season ends)
+
Breather sitting on bench (had the distributor out)
+
Nothing better to do tonight (need to start drinking again or something)
=

Ah well, at least it's a change from the wing-nut that was there

Looks pretty cool! Diggin it!

It's nice to see someone thinking outside the box, instead of buying out of a catalog.

That is VERY nice! I would imagine the length of the stud has to be cut very precisely.

Ho M,
NICE WORK!
I can't let you get by on ANYTHING!!!
Labels that were placed on air cleaner lids were placed so they were read from the front.... thus your emblem might be upside-down based on that logic!!!
I really am sick!
Regards,
alan

Nah I'm too lazy for that.
Heavy rubber washer under it protects the chrome lid (if I go back, no scratched) and allows for some adjustment on the orientation

Thanks Alan
Might be just the angle of the photo, check the brake master in the background for reference, checker flag on the right, right?

Wow Mooser, looks great! I'll see you at the fall cruise. I 'll put that on my x-mas wish list if you start making them. Still want the gas lid but wife will kill me if I spend anymore money.

This can only mean..... I'm sick AND old!
Still NICE work!!!

That's OK, I actually went and double checked to make sure I didn't have the flags on the wrong side

Thanks, never liked the wingnut, never found an aftermarket one I liked.

Well, basically it's like an aluminum mushroom I turned up to fit the tapered recess in the lid, tapped the back side to fit the stud.
Spot-faced and tapped for some stainless button head screws I had laying around
Engraved the flags
Polished
It was sort of supposed to match the gas lid I have on the car, I guess it somewhat does.

Looks like he shrunk the dimensions in the dxf file that he already had for the cnc fuel doors he previously made. Or something like that!

I want one of those gas lids that is sweet. The wing nut is awesome but the detail would be lost shrinking it down to fit the wholes on my crossfire.

Awesome job!
