454 LS5 Engine - whats worth it?
Hi there,
i want to know how much an old 454 LS5 from a ´71 Vette is worth in USA. (should be a 2 bolt block)
I want to find out what price would be fair here in germany.
Its not in perfect condition, should be reworked before reinstalling.
But it run until the engine swap.
Thanks in advance!

$500-1000 if sold locally.
It should be given away free though if someone needs to ship it back over here.......because the freight cost alone will be at that much.
I spent a several months in Lahr quite a few different times when I was in the Canadian army. Nice countryside for a drive where you live.

nono, i just wanted to know how expensive it is in USA, then i can add shipping and customs for europe and thats the price here. Like all other parts. Most time we have to calculate your prices x 1,5 to get the price in €.

If it is the original engine for your car, keep it. There are always circumstances that would invalidate this statement but, If anyone would ever want to restore your car in the future, that matching numbers motor would increase the value of the car by far more than the value of the engine alone.
