Toys for Tots Toy Run Dec 1, 2012

Thought Id post this over in the C3 section so you guys in the No Cal area dont forget about our run in 2 weeks...
I know a lot of you dont hit the Northern Cali section..

Hello Corvette lovers,
We would like to invite everyone to this year's Toys for Tots Toy Run Saturday Dec 1st. We will be holding the event this year at Abel Chevy in Rio Vista. The event will be held from 11-2 on Saturday Dec 1st. Abel Chevy will also be a drop off location for Toys for Tots if you aren't able to make the event on the 1st, Please stop by and drop a toy off at your convenience. Every single toy counts.

Richie and Abel will also be hosting a free BBQ for everyone that brings an unwrapped toy

Also going to ask for a small dontation of 5.00 per car to go to TOys for Tots..

This year we will be having the US Marines come out from Toys for Tots and collect toys and cash donations.
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community.
I hope all of you can come out this year and support the Marines and the community.
This will be an open invite to all so please tell your friends and come on out and have a great time for a great cause…..

Let's have all the same meet spots throughout the bay area and then all cruise into Rio Vista.

Well with 2 weeks to go just want to make sure everyone knows this will be a rain or shine event...Richie can BBQ in the back garage so no orries about that. and we can fit a bunch of people in the showroom area. Make sure to tell your friends that may not be on the forum. This is for the kids they are counting on us,so it doesn't matter what car they drive here or how they hear about it. We want to continue to make this event a growing success so tell whover you want, but please post if they are coming so we make sure to buy enough food

Well, Just getting home after a long day at the CS Toys for Tots event at Abel Chevrolet...
We had a little rain going to the dealership, But once we got there the skies opened up and showed us a little blue sky for a little while.. The event went on from around 1045 to 115 when we started to get a little drizzle. So we started to pack up the toys and help with parking all the dealer cars back on the lot..
I want to thank everyone that came out in this ugly weather to help support the kids from Toys for Tots...
We Raised 323+ toys and raised $1381.00 .. It was a big success for the amount of cars and people we had this year... We wanted to top last years amount of toys and cash. And we rocked it with everyones help and support.. I would also like to thank Rich and The Abel's and all the crew at Abel for letting us host this event at the dealership once again this year.. This is going to be a yearly event and each year we just hope we can do little better in support each year..

Looks like the weather kept a lot of people at home....then there were some of us that left the Vette at home and came up in the driver...regardless of the weather we'll be there next year
