I don't know if I should install these on my car, or put them in a display case in the living room!

These things are HOT!!

Oh My God! Get a nice gold or silver chain and wear one around your neck as jewelry.

Where did you pick these up from?

I bought them through forum vendor Van Steel. Several vendors sell them, or you can get them direct from Wilwood. I bought them when they were on sale this past summer.

These are the direct replacement calipers, they are dimensionally exactly the same as stock, they even fit behind stock rallye rims, even the 6 piston versions.

Years ago, I took a brand new set of aluminum heads, aluminum intake, and Holley carb into the dining room. I bolted the intake to the heads, and put the carb on the intake. I left the assembly on the dining room table as a center piece. This was in the morning on Christmas day, and we were having a big family dinner that night at our place. She walked by the dining room into the kitchen, stopped dead in her tracks, walked backwards to look again. I she was I took a picture if it, I will have to see if I still have it somewhere!

Nice!! I would love a set of these for mine. I just missed the lottery the other night by about 6 numbers or I would have hit and bought a set.

exactly.

Anyway, other than weight savings and the six piston fronts, what are the advantages of these calipers?

Got a set on mine. Small trick when installing. Don't install front bolt on the rear calipers until after you rotate them upwards and bleed them. Then bolt and torque into position. Helps to get all the air out.

To quote Wilwood: "D8-4 calipers are a direct bolt-on replacement for the OE calipers on all 1965-82 Corvettes. Forged billet aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons and high-temperature seals put an end to the rust, bore pitting and seal failures that plague the OE caliper design. D8-4 calipers provide low-maintenance performance, a huge weight savings, and high temperature reliability for street or track."

The most important reason though is that they will look so pretty!!!

I have searched my hard drive, and cannot find it! I must have deleted it.
