Default Rear subwoofer enclosure for C3s

I'm looking at stereo install threads. You guys have done some nice work with your systems. I came across this enclosure on fleabay. Has anybody used one of these for your stereo installation? Your comments and opinions please.

I bought one without the sub opening and used only the 6x9's as speakers. The room where the sub was, I put in a small 2 channel amp. Overall it worked well. Tight and I mean tight fit to get in place.

I like it! Does this allow enough room to lay the T tops flat? I saw the depth is 5" Al

I put my sub in the jack well, removed the door, cut plywood to fit, sub in the middle, jack still there, easy.

I read a post from another guy that installed one and he said that he had to move the seats up a little to get the t-tops to fit. That's why I built mine to fit from the top. It keeps all the storage room untouched.

T-tops do not fit well with this box. If you add a small amp to the face of the box, no.

Would you have any photos of your design Scott?

Very nice work. Is getting to the head unit difficult from the driver's seat?

I bought this item for my '74.....
Well built unit. I filled it with Alpine's....
I have NOT put it in yet though as I'm still trying to finish my interior....I'll let you know when I do!
(Sure hope I can get my t-tops in with it - even if it's a little tight...!)

I hooked up a USB cable and ran it under the carpet and hooked it
Up to my phone. I also use the remote controll that I got so I don't
need to even touch the head unit.

I have XM radio in my 2011 Silverado, paid $5 a month extra for the web access...
So now I plug my phone into my stereo and use my XM app and WOOHOO - XM Radio in my Vette!

Works great!
