Default 1969 battery cable

Where does the negative battery cable ground to on a 1969 Corvette?
Thanks, Fred.

Fred, I think it bolts to the outboard bolt of the starter. If I'm wrong someone will correct it. If you post on the C-3 side they definitely will know. Dennis

Thanks, Fred.
It grounds to the frame, adjacent to the bottom of the battery box behind the driver's seat; you'll get more detail if you post in the C3 Forum.

I totally forgot the battery is behind the seats. duh! What makes it worse is the fact I owned a '71 for 5 years. I guess I didn't have to do anything relative to the battery cables. Memory...going going gone! Dennis

And there's another, equally important (at least to the starter) cable from the right frame motor mount to the block. All 3 connections need to be clean and tight. Electric motors (starter), are not happy with low voltage and/or low current.
