Best Stabilizer?
I'm thinking that since it's 15 degrees in January up here and the 'vette is up on blocks with about 3/4 a tank of premium gas in her and hasn't run in a month... I should, well, add some stabilizer. What's the best additive, in the vast experience of those on the forum? (I know I should have put it in long ago.)

I would fill the tank to prevent water condensation.

In all my toys I use Stabil Marine, it's the blue color rather than the red. Have not had a problem with the car, bass boat, lawn mower or snow blower.

Ya, I know- but you could go broke buying every 'doesn't hurt to use it' product on the market. I'd rather go to Wendy's and have their $4.99 special.
On the 'doesn't hurt to use it' topic, it actually can. A buddy bought himself a gallon of StaBil (to save money) about ten years ago and started using it in all his toys. About three years ago, they started acting up when put back into service so he doubled the dosage for the following year. Even worse results. Carbs blocked solid.
Long story short the StaBil had gone bad, it's only got a two year shelf life once opened.

Filled her with premium, added StaBil, and have to leave her on blocks until the rims get snadblasted and repainted... Thanks for all the input fellas... Now I'm off for a single combo from Dave Thomas.
