Forgot to mention I averaged 18 miles per gallon. I can live with that!

If you can get no more than 12 out of your car, it's time to find out why.

No idea what mileage I get but I take my Vette to Mosport twice a year for vintage weekend and then the ALMS in Corvette Corral and its really not the best highway cruiser. Revs at 3,500 rpm at 120 km/hr, no ac so it's pretty hot and loud.

My 71 350 4 speed SB avg's 16 to 18 hwy miles.
Unlimited smiles to the mile.
I do not use her as a DD..avg about 1K or less a year.
so for me its not economical to spend 2 or 3K for an OD.

Installed a 6spd Richmond trans two years ago.Best of both worlds, great 1st gear for snappy acceleration and an OD 6th gear for cruising on the Hiway.Pricey but worth it,you forget about the cost after the first drive with the new trans!!
