Any lubricant on rear spring leaves during rebuild?
I have my original rear spring apart as part of my rear suspension rebuild. I bought new spring liners. Do I apply any lubricant to the leaves as I assembe it? I was thinking a light coat of graphite grease. This is for a driver, not a show car.

Hi lb,
There wasn't any lubricant used originally... I don't know if there's any reason to use some now.
Regards,
Alan

I agree with all the above. No lubricant from the factory, that is what the liners are for, and grease would attract dirt. The old liners were worn all the way through, and the leaves are rusty and scaling. I will clean them all up the best I can, assemble with the new liners, and move on. Thanks for all the input.
