I just read your update-thread in the General Forum about the progress you've made in the last couple months.
You're doing a great job/I know how many Aleve tablets that it takes to insulate the entire interior....LOL!
Please keep this original thread going-----there is a lot of rebuild history posted here.....you need to continue it in this thread!!!!!

As your suggestion, and thanks for the input, I will continue my progress in this thread. As I replied in my other thread,
I just thought it would get tiring following the same thread.
Here is the link to the latest photos that was in my other thread.

I just read your thread. You are doing a great job bringing your car back from all those years under a car cover.

I am glad everyone enjoys looking at this thread. I will definitely keep posting on this thread.
Thanks for all the positive comments.
I just checked and all my original photos are still displaying on the first post. I don't know why
you can't see them. I haven't removed any from my photo bucket list.
Is anyone else having problems?
Donnie
Edit: Just checked photo bucket and the site is slow and downloading problems. The photos load one time and then not the next time. Hopefully they will correct it.

A few months ago "Bucket" did the same thing/it also re-arrange my stored photos out-of-sequence .....
it took me 4 hours to re-post some "lost" pics into my thread/NOT fun.....but it was worth the effort.
EDIT: Just a rookie idea.......You could ask the Moderators to rename your thread so everyone recognizes it as a restoration:
Example> "What you do not want to do-DonnieP73 Restoration"

Yes, we used to go to Cafe Du Monde every time we visited my wife's sister and get the Beignets and coffee without (no lait) as I don't like sugar or cream in coffee.

That might work, but I would think some might interpret that as meaning what not to do in your restoration. Thanks for your input though.

True! Enough members are now familiar with your thread title that they understand what the thread ia about.
Annnnnd.......
With those beignets ..........I understand why you don't need the sweetners---- one beignet has enough powered.......errrrr.......powdered sugar on it for SIX cups of coffee!
"If a visitor didn't try beignets in the French Quarter.....They missed half of New Orrrrleeeens!"

Thought I would fit the Tru-Flex bumper today and see how it fits.
Got it from Willcox and just had to remove some of the edge on the
sides and it fit really nice. Wasn't as hard as some had reported with
theirs.

Saturday I got my transmission back from rebuild. Got the transmission and rented engine hoist about
9:00AM. I got the engine off of the stand and attached the transmission then stopped for lunch.
Then with the help of my little wife, we reinstalled both as one piece. It went a lot better than I was expecting.
We had engine mounts and trans mount and cross member all bolted up by 3:00PM. Rolled 73 back into garage
about 4:00PM, after putting the wheels back on, then quit.
This morning, reattached carb, distributor, coil, other connections.
After I torque the A-arm bushings, I will reinstall the radiator.
Still have a way to go, but can see the light now.
