VIDEOS!!!! Track Day @ TMS
Had a great time at the track day event at Texas Motor Speedway this past weekend sponsored by the Lone Star Corvette Club. I had a slight mishap on my first run toward the end - spun out! It was fun to push the car to the limit of my comfort zone. and fun to run with C5s and C6s!

In summarized form - I am running a 355 that is warmed over pretty well. It has 400hp at the crank / 355 at the rear wheels. I am running an M22 and a 4:11. The car is set-up to abuse, handle and perform. Its a lot of fun.

Gary! I bet those C5s and C6s were surprised to see you there, and I bet they were also surprised how well your car did! The real question here really is where is Rob?!?!?!

Hey Ben, yeah I was the only older car out there. No C4s and I was the only C3. No C2s or C1s. Rob ..... he was probably with his honey. He is in love!

Funny part is I don't know if you mean a woman or his '82! I was surprised he wasn't there with his beast of a CE. I don't think I could turn down a track day with a car like that!

Terrorizing Orange Cones
Just watched all three video's and easy to see why that was a blast to run! Thanks for showing those newer models that owner-built classics still have some fire in the belly to roar.
Loved the different camera angles too. Both camera and mount stayed right where you put them to give a real-deal feel of running with the big dogs.
Glad for Rebel Rob if he had a distraction to attend to. Sometimes, a guy has to do what a guy has to do. There'll be other days to get back out and shave tire tread on the track.
Shucks, I enjoyed the spin-out and recovery too...! Thanks for sharing a great day.

That’s a fun little track to run around. I’ve autocrossed a few times on it but never 10 straight minutes like that. Jealous!
I remember one year I spun going into that first turn and nearly hit the cement barriers in my C5 daily driver. My then girlfriend was with me and she screamed…”Do it again! Do it again!” I was thinking, “No! That screwed my lap time.” Only later, in a video, did I see how close I got to the wall.

Safety Car
Looks like you had fun! Nice to see a really well thought out C3 running on the track! This is a sweet C3 I have seen this car many times at Cars and Coffee, the owner is cool too. I'll try to go next year to the Lone Star event, I had to work this year.

I like the new technology but am a throw-back kind of guy. I'll stick with the old school performance.
