While restoring my A/C system I had planned on converting to R134 & went so far as to install the R134 O rings. I have now decided to stay with the R12 refrigerant. I have been told the R134 O rings are compatible with the R12 refrigerant. Can someone confirm this or do I need to change the O rings?

The o rings are fine with R12 or R134.

Like to install a/c in 69-427-390, not factory original A/C. All original numbers matching car.
Like to keep it that way. Any imput on this. Appreciate info from your knowledge and experience. In Florida, concerned about overheating. Newer systems are supposed to be more efficient. ?
