1975 leaks
I went back to previous threads pertaining to leaks, but couldn't find what I need, so I am forced to bring it up in a new thread.
My '75 was outside without a car cover in a 3-day torrential rainfall. The driving rain and harsh winds did not let up for 3 days.
Should I be surprised my carpets were wet?
Well they were, and I admit me being surprised is moot, but I need to find which areas of the car are vulnerable to leaks.
The seats were dry, the area behind the seats were dry --- the only areas wet, were the carpets in front of either seats.
I did what I would consider the usual, that being trying to replicate where the water entry point might be. That proved useless.
Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Drifting
A couple likely culprets:
1 bad weatherstripping in the door area along the A pillars.
2 A bad seal in the chrome at each top corner of the bird cage.
3 A bad seal along the front body mount, bottom of the bird cage long the A pillar??? ( Water hits the windshield run down into the wiper area and seeps along the bird cage into the edge of the cockpit)
Those areas would explain water in the areas you're describing... Unless you have a hole in the floor pans and the water came in while you were running her down the road.

Burning Brakes
By any chance is it a vert?
Knowing how mine "seals" I am surprised at how well it holds the water back as well as it does in a sprinkle much less a downpour.
Have someone spray it while inside and see what you can find.
