Where does the driver's side vanity attach? 1976
I've tried, but just can't seem to figure out where the driver's side vanity light and accompanying bracket attaches? Can someone explain this to me like I'm a 3 year old? Pictures? Thanks!

I dont want to give wrong info, but if its like my 77, the bulb socket sits in a little metal bracket thats located just above the area of the hood release handle.

My finger is through the hole that the socket sits in. If I remember corectly the bracket mounted to the back of the dash itself.
Heres the bulb socket you are looking for. Again, this is a 77.

No, that's the right light. I have the light and the socket, it works, but it is disconnected from the dash, or wherever it sits. I'm trying to figure out where to screw the socket bracket into ? I'll get your picture up on a bigger screen, hopefully I can see where it mounts under there! Thanks, Craig
SORRY WRONG LIGHTS ! ITS BEEN A LONG DAY. If you are talking vanity, I believe it was pass side only.

That explains allot. I have two different brackets in my box. Thought one went to the odo reset cable, and the other to the light... Based on this image, it's the same bracket, which means that I've been trying to make it fit with the wrong one.
