Terrorizing Orange Cones
The choice of wheels reminds me that some folks like blondes or redheads or brunettes: it's all a matter of taste for the platform that you run.
They can all look good but it's a personal selection that fits (or not) with your agenda.
FWIW, I like the look of a traditional 5-spoke, like the TT II's. Love the look of the Coy's C-5 models.

I really like the idea of minilites. I'm glad someone suggested that because it never occured to me as an option. I LOVE TT2's but I also want something that is not as common. You sure don't see many minilites around here, that is for sure. Here are some pics I dug up from this forum (hope the owners don't mind me posting pics of their cars):

I voted 'other'.
While I like older Corvettes pretty much un molested adding a set of 15" Minilites on a C3 always makes a C3 look absolutely outstanding (15" Torque Thrust D's would be my second choice). If you're a fan of today's foolish looking 20 - 22 inch TonkaToy wheels wrapped with rubber bands you might want to sell the C3 and get an Escalade .
As stated in earlier posts, Minilites have been around from the 60's. That said I think one would be hard pressed to walk into a tire/wheel store and see a set for sale.
If you are at a historic sports car race () you'll see Minilites on many of the top cars. If you're at the drags you'll see plenty of Torque Thrust D's on vintage Corvettes (). TonkaToy wheels - I think not.
If you add Minilites to your wheel list don't forget to bring lots of money - they are not inexpensive. They aren't giving the Torque Thrust D's away either .
In reference to factory available wheels (which I like), Chevrolet certainly got it right on the C3 Corvettes all those years ago. So, if you were voting - what's your flavor now?

If I do anything, it will be a 17" or 18", this company even makes mini lites in 17 and 18":

The website I listed above will do a set for about $1500. Since I've already spent about 10k on a 383 build and TKO600 (not install yet), I imagine I could cough up another $1500 plus tires, no problem.

Thanks for posting that link. Those wheels are beautiful. Just hope they look that good in an 8"-9" width. Curby's crystal red car and the yellow race car both have flares and beautiful deep dishes. Not sure in smaller widths how it would look. Look at the rear wheels on the stars and stripes car above, those are too narrow and you don't see much offset. I still love those wheels and those would get my vote.
