My 1974 corvette is leaking in the back window and it has some black rubber material on the window to the car guess to make it more waterproof but the black stuff made a channel and water just stays in the channel and leaks behind my backseats what is the best way to fix it or can i take it to somebody i called safelite but they said it be a repair job and they do not make repair jobs on that car

Do you have the assembly instructon manual (AIM). The AIM shows how the rear window was installed and how the original sealant was applied. My guess is you need to remove the window, clean it up, and reinstall it with new sealant. While the window is out, you can get to the channels under it which help to drain away water.

This is what you want available at most auto parts stores. Can't recall if it calls for 5/16" or 3/8"
