I had my buckles done over, these were not out at the time, or at least I didn't find them....with the GM on the release, I likely would have just bought these...though my clean up / drive quality resto came out good..these belts do look very nice, good to see them available.

I bought a set of these belts (shoulder & lap) from CorvetteMods and took my 1973 LS4 Convertible to NCRS Regional in Kissimmee FL. for Flight Judging. They deducted 2 points for "Replacement belts, aftermarket" and deducted 2 more points for "no tags" what are the tags? Can I get tags from CorvetteMods?

The tags are only available on the OEM versions. Our supplier doesn't offer them outside of the original equipment.

Do you know if I must buy the same type of seat belt for my 77 Vette? Replacements are expensive, but if I could just get a lap belt, or cheaper model with shoulder belt it will save me money.

These really look good. I have a 73 coupe, do the OEM sets have the connections for the seat belt light
on the dash that is on the retractors under the seats?

Our premium OE styled series does not include the electrical connection on the lap belt retractor. The factory retractors are becoming very difficult to find in useable condition for our refurbishing customers so if you have a set hang on to them.

What some guys do is upgrade the drivers side buckle to a wired buckle (check with corvette mods for the cost) and lengthen the wire. Most just bypass this connection.

Ok. So I ordered these awhile back now, but finally had a day off to pull the seats and carpet out and change out the worn 40 year old seat belts. Surprisingly, the ones I pulled weren't in too bad of shape, but the passenger side really needed replaced as it was apparent that the retractor at some point had sat in a pool of water.

The new units are beautiful, and work great. They are a lot closer to what I was looking for than what I had found else where.

Only down comment would be that you can't connect the seat belt warning light back up. Or at least I didn't have time to figure out how to pull the sensor off the old retractor in order to put it on the new one. If someone has a write up on how to do that, I would be happy to read it.

Thanks
