Is it still a barn find if it's OUTSIDE the barn?

If it's not IN the barn, it is then defined as a "farm field" find.

See, I was thinking it was a "barn find" because I found a barn to take a picture of...

Better check the frame and birdcage for rust... oops... wait a minute, that's the token response for a barn find . That barn is lucky to have such a good looking car parked in front of it.

Believe it or not, this started many years ago when I would drive down to the Mid America events in Effingham, IL in September. I found a great old barn crumbling by the side of the road on Rte 16 so I took a picture of my car in front of it. As the years went by and I drove different Corvettes, I'd take my barn picture with different cars. It was kinda cool.
A few years ago i drove by and found that the barn had crumbled and was completely removed! I took a pic in front of the empty spot but it wasnt the same.
This photo is the replacement barn a few miles away on Rte 128. Barn 2.0.

I'm sure you could make it more authentic by driving it IN the barn, covering it in hay, maybe some chicken poop and deflate the tires?

Nice car. Did you peek in the barn to see if there was maybe a "barn find" in there?
