76_ Thanks for finding my thread for me! I may be speaking too soon, but I think I might be coming out of the 4 1/2 month episode of "hiding" in my house until the "head-games" from the PTSD begin to fade.
And today I did manage to drive across town to pick up a new (daily-driver) seatbelt for the driver's seat.

Thanks Men...........since the project car was "mix'n'matched" with late '70s body parts, it's going to be a restomod (I think that's the correct term).
I'll replace the front bumper/rear taillight fiberglass with correct year aftermarket pieces.
Right now, I need to locate some aftermarket shoulder-belt guides for the tops of the seats........the original seats only had lap belts which were ruined.
Time to visit the online Vette stores.
It's all in fun......and this is now "Day 3" that the PTSD has slacked off !

Good progress doorgunner! She'll be together before you know it.
Looks like I might be making the beginning progress on my 68 project this weekend. Gotta get the car sitting on different wheels so I can send off the American Racing vector wheels to Detroit vintage wheels for restoration in exchange for some extra wheels my dad had stockpiled. Gonna finally be able to roll the 68 around. Oh and my mom is finally getting a new door on her attached garage so I have an indoor place to store the 68 finally.

Oh I have a thread going, mostly chit chat and figuring out some of the history of the car. Nothing has happened with the car yet in all this time haha. Life's been getting in the way.

Chad I am sorry about your Dad passing and the car you inherited does look awesome. I purchased my 69 that I am restoring now from Kalamazoo Mich. They say it gets cold up there but I went in June and it was a very hot day, man it was hot. Have fun with the car in whatever direction you go.

Doorgunner, i hope you continue to feel better, keep moving forward.
this thread is interesting , i lost my best friend to a car accident 6 years ago, he was on his way to pick me up . we were heading to a car show.
3 years ago i lost my Dad, though he was 89 and in poor health , it was too soon. i inherited my friends 79 he was the original owner, and was stored for decades in a garage, we had been working on it together , with him gone it was up to me to continue . i may have done things he wouldn't have thought but im certain he would love it.
the car has been good therapy as i trust your projects will be to you.

Thanks Men.......it seems like each of us has had some type of set-back........whether it's family/friends/front clips......things really stop us in our tracks sometimes.
One small step for me.......I saw my Shrink today.....and since I was in the city, I ordered the passenger's side 3-point seat belt also.......
"one small step for Veterans.....one giant leap for resto-mods!"
Pics when the 2nd belt comes in and the install takes place!
