Couple of pictures of my solo cruise.
Driving my 1981 Corvette with a 383 TPI Stroker down the Erie canal. Weather was perfect, car ran great, couldn't ask for more.
Thanks for the pics. Nice weather, beautiful car. I could never imagine how good the stripes would look but you did a great job. One of a kind, that's nice.

May I ask how your GPS is mounted in the fourth pic? I don't like it mounted to the windshield and I haven't found a good place in the C3.
Thanks
Ed
I have a small GPS unit by Navigon in is mount with a suction cups right to the plastic covering the instrument housing, so I have it stuck to the lower right side, I can still see the tack, even though mine is an automatic. Works well in this position.

The stripes are an easy install, these are vinyl stripes, so you can remove them when you get tired of the look. I bought them from the local auto shop and they cost about $20 a roll.
On the day I drove the Erie canal, I choose to use my glass tops on the car, I have a set of body colored tops with vinyl stripe to continue the line... see this pictures below for body color roof with stripe.
I love the look, and it is so easy to apply and remove.
Is the front lower air dam removed?...Does it affect cooling any? I have an '81 and it is my favorite body style of the C3's....Your car looks great!...good luck!
Yes the front air damn is removed... I need to replace it, the old one was shot, as for cooling I did not notice any difference, but then again my C3 as an twin electric fan blowing on a Big Griffin Aluminum Radiator.
