New to photobucket.. so bear with me!!
Car arrived last week..[IMG][/IMG]
Had been painted with thermoplastic paint I think, which had reacted with the paint underneath. I had a similar problem with my caddy but it wasn't obvious until I got the primer on.. then after 1 weeks rest, it started to crack.. so had to strip to bare metal. Have done the same with the vette.. or at least am doing it..
[IMG][/IMG]
Have removed interior... need to pick your brains about a few things... lets see if this works first!!

Well....you took it easy on him......you didn't go for the jugular.

NOW the O.P. won't get bored....plenty of sanding for a while.

Planning new paint and interior... Engine sounds good... have only driven it 100 yds and transmission seemed ok ( 1st and reverse!!) No plans for any upgrades engine wise at the moment... difficult to get spares here.. and want to drive it.. I know from experience that waiting to get everything perfect at the expense of driving it takes a lot of the fun away. Having read a lot about temperature issues in the car, driving in this part of the world may be a bit "sticky"... in the middle of winter it's 75 degrees.. and in the summer 120!! At the moment I just keep looking at the shape of it!!! Sure makes me smile..

Funniest thing I've read on cf in weeks. And yes we know he meant the caddy.

I can't wait to see pics of this thing cruising the desert and city with those beautiful buildings as a backdrop.

Good move planning on driving before engine upgrades - that way you can enjoy it for awhile before having it out of commission for engine upgrades. After you do safety items first, the next priority should be to make sure the A/C functions or is capable with repairs. Good luck with her!
