1978 Pace Car 4 speed L82.. Value?
I have the opportunity to purchase a numbers matching 2 owner 1978 Pace Car with the L82 motor. It has the 4 speed transmission and only has 22,000 miles. They also have a new set of decals from GM that are not yet installed. Car is in great shape and has always been stored inside. What is the value of something like this?

I can't disagree with the $32k number at all. I wrote this article (link below) about five years ago. Pace Car values since then, have been as stagnant as the economy!
The range for the most desired Pace Cars remains in the $32k to $40k range. An owner I have kept in touch with over the years had his Pace Car for sale for over a year and finally got his price which was the low side of $30s. His was a nice Pace Car, judged by NCRS and all the right paperwork. You can't go wrong with the L82 M20 (or M21) and 22k miles. I would look underneath and check for leaks which are fixable but figure repair costs into price.
