That looks good. Did you just weld in a piece of sheet metal, bend it up, and drill the hole based on the good door you've got? I don't have a welder, but there is a weld shop in town that could probably help me out.

Yes I did that but did not cut the shape until after it was in place. Took measurements from the good door.

I'm going a little off topic as I have spent the last week working on my auto-hauler. I used it a few weeks ago for moving some items for work and noticed how bad the Texas Sun has beat it so decided to blast it and get it painted. I also decided to put line-x on the bed.

I picked it up yesterday from line-x now I just need to paint it and put the polished diamond plates back on. I also decided to change all the lights to led so it will be like new when done. I bought it in 2003 and has been a great trailer.

I did some painting of some small items today. I have a question for those that have put bodies on a frame. How difficult is it to put the body on with radiator installed? The reason I'm asking is I want to start my engine before I marry my body and frame. this would mean i would need to add antifreeze. after I do this I would rather not remove it after insuring I have no leaks.

I picked up a car Rotisserie last week so I can start working on the undercarriage. I need to replace both seat belt reinforcement plates. Once that is done its off to line-x to spray the undercarriage.

I'm headed out of town (Seattle) on the 23rd so I need to get as much done in the newt 2 weeks.

Man a rotisserie would be great. A guy can pay so much more attention to the underside.

Yes it will be much easier then crawling under it.. Getting to old for that plus it's the only way I can get line-x to spray the underside..

Where did you get the rotisserie from? Used or new? How much if you don't mind me asking.
A friend and I are looking at getting one together.

Hi ArtGle, I am not sure if the car is back on the frame or is it all apart. In either case it looks like an interest project and we are all here to help.

Ask away, I travel a lot for work so sometimes es its a few days before I get back on here. There are a few projects always going on in the form so try to follow as many as you can to get ideas.. Good luck and they are a lot of fun to do....

I powder coated my tail light assy white gloss, then painted the outside with black. The white should reflect well and hold up to the weather.

Thanks Tim......great info.
Keep me in mind when you are done with the rotisserie. Timing might be right to sell/buy it.

I looked thru David's thread but with 34 pages I could not find where the rotisserie cam into play. Any idea what pages it was on?
Txs again

Go to page 11 and you will see a great picture on its side and how he made it.

When I sell it I just want to recoup 90% of what I have in it. I will start building the frame for the rot when I get back from the Pacific North west . If you follow this thread you will see it. Once I have the the body on the rot it will only take a few weeks. then back on the frame for the final time.

I have a few days off this week before I head to Seattle, I took Radiator to welder to get the top fan mount welded. I do not have the gas and wire to weld aluminium and only need it once in a while so have a welder close to me that is reasonable.

I'm assembling the front for the last time. Once together I will fill the radiator check for leaks and start engine for the first time.
