Default Removal of Parking Brake Console

1969 Corvette Coupe, Automatic, non power windows, the parking brake console seems to be connected at the back of the console. I have all of the side screws removed and the console is loose but is somehow fastened in the back. Any suggestions on how it is fastened. Also a ground wire coming from the radio and goes no where. Removed the carpet and side console and the wire was dead-end under the carpet. Have no idea where it goes. CowboyLar

Try reaching forward in the center section rear compartment. As he said above, there is a bolt in there. Try a 3/8 inch socket with an extension to get it out.

That will take care of that.

Is the wiring for the radio original or spliced up? Thinking the radio is grounded somewhere up front if it is working.

Hi C37,
Here's the hole from the other side of the bulkhead that mosser's bolt goes through.
Regards,
