Default A arm bushes

Hi guys. Been away a wee while but that's the old girl in the shop getting stuff done that I don't have the time or tooling to get it done.
I've got a arm bushes and the shop are asking me if when the new ones are installed are they supposed to have movement in them or should they be really tight on the arm?

Advice appreciated as always.

The new ones should be noticably tighter than the old.

They do know the correct procedure to install them, you dont tighten the end bolts till the vehicle is on the ground and the suspension is loaded?

Didn't know that I'll head in first thing. So fit them and tighten when it's on the deck?

correct, after the arms are installed back on the car, the car is on the ground, tighten the end bolts on the A arm shafts. Think your shop needs a copy of the factory Chasis Manual.

Retainer bolts get tightened once car is set on the ground. I am not sure of the torque spec. If you tighten before the car is back on the ground, you will be replacing them not too far down the road!

Cheers guys. Taking the AIM down tomorrow and these messages. The guys don't get much experience on these cars. The normal pointers are sending their friends down to see the weird car on the ramp
