Pete- let's not hijack.

I've got 20+ years of first handed experience with E10 that correlates perfectly with dozens of others just on this site alone never mind the others I visit. No one has been able to come up with first handed experience that contradicts.

If you try not to push your opinions- then don't make statements like 'Remember, no ethanol fuel only'.

I suggesting find a nice straight road with little traffic and so some 25 to 30MPH stops.

You get a feel pretty quick were they lock up. Then you know how it's going to feel in a panic stop.

Feel free to shoot me a PM, I'm always open to information.

I may try not to force my opinion, but I don't always succeed.

I think I should find a huge parking lot with no traffic with me behind the wheel!

I'm so glad you like the car as much as I did. If you're ever in Motown you can drive my car!

Hot off the press.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c1-a...ne-boster.html

Note the pics I took earlier today of my own gas tank interior. This is after 20 years of E10 use.

Note also the comments of JohnZ and MikeM who have 10x the experience and knowledge of us mere mortals.

I've just come in for the shed where I figured it was about time I dug out the snow blower for the coming winter. It's been sitting ignored since late March with a tank of Satan E10, no Stabil.

Started on the second pull of the cord.

Electric starters are for sissys.

Sorry for the hijack Marc. Congrats again!

What happened to my PM? I'll post my concerns on your link, but in general I'm not concerned with storage, but rubber components in our fuel delivery system being attacked by ethanol.

We differ on opinion of what is real experience.

Rubber fuel hoses have been E10 compatible for at least 20 years. Unless you have factory original hoses you won't have any fuel hose issues with E10. And if you do have original hoses, E10 is not your biggest problem.

I could not get two major parts suppliers to make that statement. I have also read comments by Lars expressing concerns with ethanol with carburetor components.

Like I said, I'm a "play it safe" kind of guy. For a couple of cents more a gallon, I fill up at the ethanol-free station. With 93 octane around $3.50, that difference is minimal for the peace of mind.

If someone would like to fund me, I'll gladly perform the testing on carburetor rebuild kits and rubber fuel lines in E10 and ethanol-free gasoline.

Marc, the car looks great! And see, a lot of people on here, said it would not happen. They didn't think you'd ever find a car, that met your standards.

It sure sounds like the wait was worth it. 14 years, I'll give you credit, your a lot more patient than I am.

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to seeing the car, and meeting you too, in January.

Non-ethanol gas hasn't been available here for over 10 years. Old cars are still running.

20+ years here, 30+ years in many areas of the Pacific Northwest. The only thing 'new' is mandatory stickers on the pumps announcing waht had been in the gas for years. That's when the sky fell.

Strange, I thought this thread was about a Corvette acquisition.

Gents,

I'm sure Marc would appreciate his thread remaining on topic. As I offered before, feel free to PM me if you'd like. Otherwise, debate with those who are interested on the appropriate thread. You will not convince me with your "worked for me" arguments.

Gents I'm at the beach celebrating more. I am totally fine with the discussion with gasoline as since I will need to use it in my new rude I like to hear the views. Everyone is being polite. I just have been out and so busy and crazy. I will be discussing more about it as I asked about it. Best regards.
