Default 1970 Voltage regulator questions

Everything that I read in the forums says that the voltage regulator for a 1970 Vette is internal in the alternator. On my 3/1970 production coupe in the passenger side storage we'll looks like a voltage regulator with the scissors jack and handle. Can someone help me out?

The voltage regulator IS internal in the alternator.

What you're describing sounds like the relay for the alarm... Should be a flasher there too.

Is your car equipped with an alarm?
