Tilt/Tele Column for '68
I have a telescoping column but am thinking about replacing it with a tilt and telescoping unit. Looking for opinions from those who have made the switch. Pro's con's best unit etc...

If you aren't concerned about originality, a tilt/tele column can be nice when crawling in and out of our toys. As far as what will work in a 68, I have no idea but I would assume that any of the earlier 68 and up to 72-ish columns would work. I don't know when the headlight hi-bean switch, etc was added to the column.
I use mine often.

Hi
Apparently, the 68 column is a very unique column with it's unique mounting under the pedestal.
The 69 and younger is different ? Not to speak about the 69 having the ignition key on the column.
There is a aftermarket tilt ( not tele ) column available and has been installed by some members here.
May be those chime in.

FWIW: All stock Corvette T/T have the ignition switch on the column. 68, of course, has the switch in the dash.
My advice would be to keep the stock 68 tele; it's one year only.

I know it's one year only and would keep it on the shelf but was looking for something a little more adjustable. I may leave it but the dash, wiring harness etc.. is out so I thought now would be the time if I were to do it.
