Default shifter **** removal

Can shifter **** on 82 be removed without removing button on top.

As a little tip, I cut and inserted a little round piece of rubber in the base of the handle, including the hole to allow the shifter mechanism to go through. It eliminated the cheapish sounding metal-to-metal noise during engagement and now sounds like a modern day shifter when pushing down the chrome top button.
