Dave, make sure you post some pics, sounds interesting.....

Haven't checked this thread in ages once again......I see some more pics of some great looking 82's have been added.

Jeff, your White/Silver is still one of my favorites, did you ever find a buyer? No way I could have made the purchase as I have enough going on now with the ones that I have, but it was very tempting..

My '82. Finally got my Vette this past January. Lots of little things to do, but it's an enjoyable hobby (that never ends) and there's nothing like the rumble...

My 82 CFI. Seventh one made for the model year and it is all original. I got the car from my mother who had the car for the last 12 years and this car just crossed the 100k miles. As with any car when she hit the 100k mark I give the car a tune up just to celebrate. Also I just recently received my build sheet and window sticker from the National Corvette Museum and I found it interesting that the car was charged to Chevrolet Motor Division Engineering and delivered to GMC Proving Ground GMC Division Milford, Michigan

Sounds like your 82 was a captured test fleet vehicle that was owned by GM for whatever time period. If you do or did a title search, you would probably find out that GM was the first owner of your Vette as they would be listed on the original title.
My 94 ZR-1 also followed the same route as your 82, and I had the chance to talk to one of the engineers last year. Very interesting to say the least. Your 82 has a unique history, enjoy.....

That's what I've been thinking for a while now. Especially after that build sheet/window sticker. My mother bought the car from Corvette mike in Plymouth back in 2001 and it was reported that the car came from an estate in Rhode Island has a trade in for a Toyota. Now I'm on the search for the first owner which is hard because the car wasn't registered in RI by the first owner. I'm the third owner of the car and I only have been able to get info back to my mother.

Here is a pic of Argus Ron Miller's CE. I think it looks great. Purists may not like the mods but I think they are tastefully done. I met him in the Corvette Nation section of Facebook:

Not my car but I too love the looks of the C3 Sharks that have been converted to convertibles:

Here is the 81 vert I used to own: (sorry - pic was taken before I had a digital camera and got messed up stored in my sock drawer).

Hey, this is for 82 C3's.....so how did this C7 get in here????
You can keep it here only if I get a ride, and since you are in Jersey, I think we can work something out.....
All kidding aside, your C7 looks great....maybe one day!!!

With all due respect to our 82 owners, IMO, this is the nicest 82 I have seen to date....It is on FB and no, it doesn't have CFI power but a current LS motor that is absolutely unread, and it sounds just as great!!! Power beyond belief.......

I may take you up on that..... but then again maybe I better not.....because then all I be thinking about would be a C7, and I would have to sell the ones I have now to do that, but can't even think about parting with any of them.....
Well there are plenty of C3's out there, so you can take your time and look for exactly the one you want.....they are a fun ride.....
