68 wiper motor 12v on tach sol
My override lamp is intermittently coming on I am getting 12v on the brown wire that goes to the solenoid bypass when off. It seems to be intermittent does this indicate a defective wiper motor. Wires are good and when it works no issues. With override lamp on even with key off 12v is present on the override solenoid.

Humm not replies, I need to know where the 12v is provided from the wiper motor. There must be some type of switch internal to the motor With override switch checked and removed it seems like it derives from the motor it self. If the solenoid is being energized and lamp lit voltage is coming from some where.

68"s Have power on the wiper motor ALL OF THE TIME! Even with the key off. Some have burned up because of this. I use a battery disconnect switch on mine. They changed the 69-72 wiring, because of this. Lou.
