Motorama in Atlanta
Wow, it was quite a show this past weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It was the Summit Motorama show.
It was huge. And a lot of fun.
The show part had literally hundreds of cars entered. And there had to be a hundred or so Corvettes.
All total, Motorama awarded 200 trophies and prizes for the show cars.
There were monster trucks crushing cars, lawn mower racing, gymkhana for anyone wanting to run the course, Every vendor on the planet seemed to be there, a swap meet, car corral, seminars and more.
I had never been to anything like it.
I entered my car and didn't win anything, but after all, I DRIVE my car.
Trailered cars had to park outside the race track and drive in under their own power. I'm sure that caused the blood pressure to rise on many of these show car owners.
The winning Corvette was a C-1 era car with a late model Corvette supercharged engine squeezed in it. Paint job alone was probably twice what my car is worth!!!!! You needed sun glasses to look at all the chrome.
Anyway, we really had fun and I recommend it to anyone looking to pass some time next year. I really think my car put on a good display.
I think if the kids could have voted mine would have won One kid said it looked like a real "Hotwheels" car.

A lot of pictures were taken of that over the weekend
Glad you noticed. I doctored up a coffee can to cover my intake when the hood is open, and attached an original Viet Nam era remove before flight banner I had lying around.
I gather by your name you are a Southeast Asia Air show follies vet.
Welcome home brother
