Those markings are in the wrong place to be done at St. Louis. Also, there were only 2 shifts of ~500 workers each. My best guess is it came from the General Tire and Rubber fiberglass supply plant in Marion, Indiana.

Does your trim tag riveted on the driver side door pillar above the top hinge indicate a born on date of February 18th or close to it? The time built code would start with the letter G. And the last 6 digits of your serial number would be close to 717000.

I haven't decided on a color yet. The original color is maroon which I am not a big fan of. I have considered going black.

Now that I have totally gutted all parts and wiring from my car. What should I be thinking as far as the small parts, sensors, and motors that are inside the firewall and various tight places? I cant imagine one of the heat motors, AC parts, or vacuum parts to go bad.

Rookie question from me:

What was "acting up"/not working properly before the car was dis-assembled that behind-the-dash/under the console components could have caused?

(Power loss to my to my dash was intermittent turns out there was corrosion that could not be seeninside the fuse box where the two halves joined together at the firewall)

More stripping, this is a very slow process.

Can anyone tell me if this corner piece is available or are my options to replace the whole skin or fabricate the part?

Well I haven't been so good at posting lately but work has continued. I have allot of small parts to touch up and change colors all together. I had some help this weekend so I chose to get the drivetrain installed even if I do have to pull items off to paint or touch up.

The drivetrain is looking good! I don't know if you could find a patch-piece for the door....maybe you could fabricate a piece or have one made.
