Default Detroit area inspection

Is there somebody in the Detroit area that could go look at a 71 that a buddy of mine is looking at purchasing? The car is in Dearborn, and here is the link:

http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/di...6&location=DET

He is just looking for a nice driver, so originality is not the issue, only condition. He just needs to be assured that the car is not loaded with rust and looks as nice as it does in the pics.

Regards, John McGraw

Top Hat John.

Always recommend looking at car with own eyes but in my case I didn't know anything anyway.

Good luck

Great move on getting car inspected especially at a classic car dealership. Have them inspect the asking price as well. Wow!!!!

Nothing I like more than looking at Vettes. I looked at the one TheBlackVette ended up buying for him. I think he was satisfied

...and I work in Dearborn. PM if your need me.

Top Hat John certainly is well regarded in appraisals and assessing market value of classic cars, but if you want an expert on all things Corvette, call Dennis Tracey at Tracey Performance in Roseville, Mi.

He and his crew inspected my '72 prior to purchase. I was given a 4 page document covering all aspects of the car, complete with grading of specific components.

John-

RedRdster is THE guy to use. Looks like he already PM'd you. I used him for my PPI of a '72 Vette that I bought in your area and he was unbelievably good. I've bought a lot of really nice cars over the years and NO one has performed a more thorough PPI than him. I would say it would be very difficult to find a guy who knows more about Vettes than him. Good luck.

I would not use him.

He assisted in a matter regarding my Corvette, and I was not impressed with his Corvette knowledge or abilities.
