Do you guys have a tip for shining up radiator hoses
I started to use a little tire gel that looks like it will make them better but is that ok?

IMO you will not find anything better. 303 Aerospace Protectant. Go to any detailing site and check:

303 Aerospace protectant is the way to go. Protects and gives it a nice matte finish. Not too shiny or greasy. Great on tires too.

Any polymer polish (like the one mentioned...or Nu-Vinyl or Meguiar's for plastics) will do the job quite nicely. It dries quickly (instead of staying 'wet'), stays clear and won't peel.
Good for rubber/vinyl hoses, interior plastics/vinyl, dyed leather, weatherstrips, electrical wire insulation, and tires. Great stuff!
