CF 70 LS5 454 owner thread

It's a sad day, but I'm officially out of the LS5 owner's group.
I traded mine in on a new Z51 3LT coupe yesterday. Thankfully, the dealership owner is a big collector and intends to restore the car to NCRS standards. One last look at her in the dealer lot:
On the bright side, I did drive home with 70 more horses.

Just now seeing that one. I think it has been for sale for a while.
Non original motor with a lot of non stock parts it sounds like. Price high for that Config.
I do love the colors.
Took mine for a four wheel align the other day. Lookin really sharp with all the wheels at the right angle
How long before we see good examples of LS -5's in the $60-80k range. Just not that many 70 BB's made

Don,the no nonsense legit LS5's with strong paperwork, original engine clean originals have and always will bring good money.A few years back they were selling consistently in the low to mid 60k range and dropped off a bit but I believe they will come on strong again as there are not many clean original motor LS5's as some people would lead you to believe. There is a 71 one owner 454 vert on eBay for 62k and some very nice 70-72 LS5's in the 41k-62k price range.A modified 71 LS5 sold at Mecum today for 68k and red 71 bid to 67k last month and a 70 454 coupe recently sold for 50k.

Thanks, everyone, for all the help and advice with my C3. It was invaluable.

All I wanted was a BB for Christmas.... and I got it!
This is my 1970 LS5 convertible. My wife got it for me as a Christmas present this year. The PO restored the entire underside of the car and rebuilt the engine. It has PB and PW but manual steering so parking lots are fun.

Thank you. I'm looking forward to having the interior and top looking as good as the underside, which you can darn near eat off of!
The CF has already been helpful in chasing down some vacuum problems with the wiper door and i look forward to learning a lot from you guys. This is my first 'vette, I also have a 1968 Firebird 400 that has kept me busy so far.
