I would think less than 1,000. 17,316 1970 Corvettes were built, 6,648 of those were convertibles, with 11 color choices.

Default LS-5 color combo confusion

Here's one for ya. Last few posts got me thinking about the colors on my 70 LS-5 I just bought recently. After pulling things apart (seats and stuff). I see the original exterior was blue , looks like the Mulsanne blue. The interior is silver and it looks original. However, when I look up available interior colors there is no silver (gunmetal) available in 1970 ??It was available in 69 . Hmmmm . Special order ? ?
Don't bother asking what the trim tag says, it's missing. Maybe from a repaint and fender flares to red.

Talked to a guy early that had been in the corvette business for over 30 years.Well to make a long story short he said he has a book that says out of the 4,473 454 that were built 9% were brideghampton blue, and then you can half that and you end up with around 200 or less. Now there is no way to prove this but maybe someday someone will find somebody who worked there to tell us info on the colors and number that was built on each color.
