I like the version where the vents are in between the taillights. I've often dreamed of how to take modern aero tricks to a C3.

The pic with the tail lights looks better than the notches..............or install a more obvious pair of honeycomb vents in the lower cap, OR , one slightly larger honeycomb vent centered in the lower part of the cover where C7 exhausts would exit(which would seem to flow more air).

Any mod will look unusual.....but it can only help the looks of a plain rubber bumper!

i dont think anything that high up would help much. something alongside the tag mount would be better like on the 4.R.E.
or put something in the center with mesh and mount the tag in the middle of it.

This is interresting, I always had the impression that the higher the better.
Now you get me thinking twice.
This echoes tektrans friendly sarcasm, sure I don't know the heck I'm doing.
But it's all cool, we're brainstorming.

I really do like this design that you did here. I think it would really look cool. Blacked out mesh-what color are you painting the car?

Thanks.
So far it should be lagunay grey. May change, but it will be a darkish color. Mesh of course will be flat black.
Time to get back to 3DSmax and see what I can do with the lower part of the bumper.

That bumper venting kept ticking in my head.
I watched a vid on the Challenger Hellcat, describing how they hollowed out one of the headlight to make room for supercharger intake that it all came clear to me.
I'm gonna do hollow taillights.

LED rings are of the 'COB' style, as smooth as CCFL rings, and damn luminous.
The support is gonna be aluminum, and there will be a grid in the middle.

How about utilizing the louvered tail light theme similar to the Motion Phase III GT Corvettes but, continue the louvered them all the way down but those louvers could be your vents.

That's a good idea indeed, for whom has big enough corones to ditch the signature 4 round taillight altogether.
I'm not that brave.

How bout just putting 3 or 4 louvers between the lights. I agree that getting rid of the 4 round lights just aint right

Well, my bet is that the 4 holes in the middle of the tail lights would do the job.
If any job was ever required here.

Glad you like it guys.
The piece that's going to support the rings it still in development, I'd like the three rings not to be on the same plane, but rather describe a inverted bubble shape, if you see what I means.
I will depends on what my machinist buddy is up to, I will see that with him this WE.
In the center I'm planning a honeycomb grid (I'm ordering it this evening).

Here's a render of what I'm after :

I got to check on the car how I can fix them. The simpler would be 3 or 4 threaded hole around the side, but I need to confirm I can reach there to put the screws. I can't count on the venting hole as there will be a mesh already.

Dropped by my machinist this morning, showed him the stuff, he likes the idea.
Here's a render of the laster iteration, I'm still playing with the shape as machining won't happen before a couple of days.
The grill is the actual grill, at its actual size.
