Default pics of my first corvette (72 c3)

bought it this past Tuesday.

frame off restoration in 2001 then judged by ncrs and earned a 97.3 topflight. owners then put in in their garage, covered it, and only put 3000 miles on it since the judging, driving it only to keep the fluids flowing and to make sure everything stayed in working order.

my plans are to drive the heck out of it. it needs to get out from under the cover and be enjoyed by all. its been hidden away long enough.

72 bryer blue, ps, pb, a/c, 350, 4 speed man.

safe and sound

Very nice car, you might want to put new radials on it before putting serious miles on it.

Hi gb,
That's a terrific looking 72!!!
I hope you drive and enjoy it a lot, AND THEN, think about having it Flight Judged AGAIN, for 2 reasons…. first, to demonstrate that they can be driven regularly and still do extremely well in Flight Judging, and, secondly, because it would be a pleasure for the judges involved to have such a nice car to look over in detail!
Good Luck with it!
Regards,
Alan

Nice MIX!!!! Audi, Jeep, GTI (?), Corvette!!!!!

thanks all.

the first thing I was going to do was to get some radial tires on it but the more I look at those firestone wide ovals the cooler they look and they handle just fine.

they aren't the original tires, they're Cokers and they're in fine shape. but that does remind me that the spare is original and I need to get a new replacement just in case.

great idea about having it judged again after ive had it a while. I think ill do that. i'm not planning on changing anything with the car. although I already took out the seat belt buzzer and the light behind the gauge panel. nothing that cant be put back in.

Beautiful car! Would it be rude to ask what you had to give for that bad boy?

Great looking car. Something that nice begs to be driven, Not hidden away and never driven. Enjoy.

Very Nice! I also picked up a new to me C3, it was a Garage Trophy, First thing I did was unhook that Buzzer, frankly it was frightening
I'm gonna be cruising in mine also, but gonna keep it for nice sunny days and evenings!
Enjoy

i'm not much of a haggler, never have been. the car has been for sale for almost a year. owner was originally asking 32.5k but dropped it to 30.9k with his most recent add.

I told the wife if it turned out to be everything I thought it was going to be I was going to offer 26k cash and settle on 28 or 29.

after looking at the car I asked if he was firm on the 30.9k, he hesitated, and I offered 26k cash.

he said he already dropped the price on the car and was recently offered 29k.

I said I would do 29k. he said he was looking for at least 30k.

I said ok sounds good and we shook hands.

the whole negotiation process took around 10 seconds.

I called the wife to tell her I got the car and she asked how much did I get it for. when I told her the above story she said <sarcasm>"boy, you sure are a mean negotiator"<sarcasm>

I said I know, I'm pretty horrible. hahaha

so I paid 30k. maybe a bit too much, maybe not enough, maybe right in the neighborhood, it doesn't matter, i'm very happy and I cant take it with me when I die anyway.

Beautiful 72 Congratulations All that matters is that you are happy with your purchase. The high quality of the car is obvious.
Enjoy the ride.

I think you did good well bought. 5 years ago I was told I paid too much for mine. I paid 25k. Mine looks as good as yours but not as correct as yours. The good thing about paying too much in my opinion is if you are careful and make sure it's not just lipstick on a pig it will be pretty much turn key and not working on it more than driving it. The five years I've had mine other than buying tires I bet I haven't spent five hundred bucks on it. Love the car man, very nice.
