Adjusted the valves again, did some data logging with the ECM and drove her to work.

I hobbled over to my car today. Then I hobbled back inside. Dr's think I got Lyme disease while I was at my cape house a week ago. Fortunately the weather has been crappy so I couldn't drive her even if I didn't have this horrible looking ankle.

What this does mean is more computer time so I will probably order lots of things I have been meaning to get.

Last week I noticed a power steering control valve hose was chaffed against the ram bracket. So I changed both of them with a hose set that I picked up from a swap meet vender at Carlisle a few years ago. Went to a cruise in last night and it was pointed out to me that I was leaving a trail of power steering fluid behind me. I picked up a bottle of fluid at the grocery store so I could make it home. Fortunately, the hose that was leaking was not the one that was chaffed, so today I put the old hose back in until I can order a proper hose.

Flushed coolant and washed Her down. Then cruised the lake front and had a couple waves at other vettes. Then hit interstate and let her breathe at 3000 rpms a bit.

Got the rest of the hardware out of the driver's door, took the wire brush to rid it of rust, stood around and stared at it, ordered new window motors, gears and rollers. Cleaned more parts. Started to strip the paint off the inside of the door. Stood around and stared at it...

.

Drove the 9car up to the tip of Door County, to a small park right on Sturgeon Bay for a family function. 350 mile round trip. 80 degrees and sunny. Three other vettes there, it's like we had our own impromptu car show. Lots of gawkers. Should of taken the camera. T

Well I finally installed my rear sway bar. Easier than I thought it would be. Pressed in the new bushings and bolted everything up. Didnt get to test it out cause the weather sucks as usual.

We are having flood watches. It has rained like 4 straight days , non stop, and no end in sight .

So ...I go in the garage and stare at my car wishing I could take her out

Went for a one hour drive Sunday, and another Saturday. This is only week 3 of ownership, and I cannot believe how much attention she draws! Wondering how long a drive I'll need to take to actually want to drive her back into the driveway.

Walked by it in the garage. Looked at the windowless windshield frame and wished, for the umpteenth time, I hadn't nicked the glass with the wiper arm while detailing the wiper bay. (Windshield, of course, cracked up the middle.) Only good thing about the whole deal is that when we took the glass out I found the frame was in good shape. Eased my mind considerably. Having new glass put in middle of the week. Have a great day, Bill

I've been chasing a vibration and replaced a u-joint in the driveshaft a couple of days ago. I got everything back in, but haven't had a chance to drive it yet. Well I was cleaning off my workbench today when I discovered a single needle bearing under some tools. I checked the old u-joint and all needle bearings are accounted for so I guess the driveshaft is coming back out. Sigh....
