From the picts it looks like you are just doing a body on resto. I would have thought the owner of my old L-88 would have done a body off after our discussion.

Feel free to post pictures of bolts, keep the pics of nuts to yourself.
In all seriousness though, love the car, looks like it has most of the right parts and I think you're doing it right, just fix the stuff it needs keep as much originality as possible.

Another inappropriate newbie question. what would a L88 in un restored condition go for ( like the one in this post ) and what would it be worth all done. A ballpark of course. Does the L88 have the aluminum heads? And once again, is this the factory hood? Does not seem to fit to well. Big wonky gap up by the pass side windshield.

Have to say love L88's and really try to collect as many GM parts that relate to the L88 68 as possible over here in the UK . Notice the rear calipers ? is this what you mean by parts available? as things get changed out to keep things on the road. Please keep pics coming on this great thread.

Great pics. Thanks for posting them. I noticed on the right rear suspension the strut rod has a pretty good bend in it and the brake caliper looks like a standard one not a J56. Underside of the body looks pretty good in the pics. Keep us informed on the progress and yes, we the love the nuts and bolts pics.

This a question I have often asked a friend , and as of yet I always believed true J56 were rear too! Yet when looking at the James Garner AIR black and white pics while racing you can see rear twin pins BUT use single pads????????????? and drilled twin. So could a restorer of many L88 ansawer please. What are used on J56 option .
